The Bears are having a Charlie Brown Christmas this year. Granted our tree is a little fatter than Chuck’s, it is still just as short and pitiful. I had to BEG Mr. Bear to put up a tree without all of our ornaments. All of our Christmas decorations are at Mr. Bear’s dad’s house and it is just too much for us to unpack the SIX boxes of magical winter wonderland paraphanalia I have collected over the years when we are going to be gone for ten days and then moving. It is so sad. Especially because I had a wedding shower in CT where everyone brought us an ornament for our first Christmas – and everything is still in CT waiting for us to pick it up and drive it to our new place in MD.
If you know me then you know how truly saddened I am to not have my apartment looking like the North Pole. I am just going to have to wear my moose shorts, holiday thermals, and Santa’s Land shirt to bed every night so I really feel like I am involved in the preparations for Santa’s arrival. This photo was taken before I knew I couldn’t decorate – I am wearing half of my holiday outfit and coincidentally pretending I’m happy in my crowded hideous non-festive kitchen. Wahhhh – I am going to go have a pity party in my bed. Goodnight.
Awww, I love your Charlie Brown Christmas… but I remember you saying before how much you LOVE Christmas so this is just not cutting it for you!!

Your Christmas tree is adorable…and the fact that you’re putting up a tree days before you move absolutely inspires me!! Next year will be the best Christmas ever! Because you’ll be in a city you love…working at a job you love….with the man you love!!

i am right there with you on the christmas decorating extravaganza. i would be sad too. and maybe pout a bit. but i LOVE your christmas pj’s and REALLY love that you have a team edward button on your fridge. my husband would’ve promptly removed that in 2.5 seconds if i had one up … mr. bear is sweet to oblige you 🙂
