After watching last Thursday’s Grey’s Anatomy episode, I had a little bit of a crying party. Don’t get me wrong – the episode was sad – but it also made me miss my best friend K just a little bit more than usual.
We’ve always said our friendship is very much like Meredith and Christina’s friendship on Grey’s Anatomy . If you don’t watch the show, then you should know that these “best friends” currently live in two different states. And they are going through A LOT, but never see one another, so they skype 24/7.
This is totally me and Kara… she lives in Canada, I live in MD. My job is always stressing me out – and she is always stressed as she is trying to get into grad school, working overtime, and mentoring kids. I’m married – she is searching for a beau – and we have been known to spend hours on Skype.
It is really hard having a best friend that lives hundreds of miles away. We only get to see each other a couple of times a year.

So, Christina and Meredith had a grand idea on this past week’s episode. The idea of an adult “bug-out-bag” is just too good to be true. I think I have found a Christmas gift for K….
Christina: You need a bug-out bag.
- Meredith: What’s that?
- Christina: Like a diaper bag, for adults. I’m making mine right now.
- Meredith: What do you have so far?
- Christina: Tequila.
- Meredith: That’s a good start.
- Christina: What else?
- Meredith: Well, the sign of a well-packed diaper bag is backups in case you run out.

Weird, I don’t watch Grey’s anymore but I was sitting in front of the TV Thursday and caught this Bug Out bag convo. I love the idea!
I would have 1. Red Wine 2. Triscuits and Chive Cottage Cheese 3. Almonds 4. A warm blanket
I would have: 1.)Sweatpants 2.) Champagne 3.) Chocolate covered pretzels 4.) Sushi.. haha check that out for randomness

You still watch Grey’s!!! Did you watch it from the beginning!?!? 😉 I gave up on it a few years ago. I think it was around with Katherine Heigl got married in the show, etc. 😉 I couldn’t handle Meredith anymore! lol
