When we decided to move to Connecticut from Georgia just in time for the snow, I knew I had to find the best winter boots for the family. I grew up in New England and remember all too well the feeling of frozen feet just minutes after walking through the snow and slush of the season. Once the cold weather hit this year, my old winter boots proved to be incapable of keeping my toes warm and dry. While standing in the yard during our first snowstorm, my brother told me how we had try his favorite winter boots made by Bogs.
What’s so amazing about Bogs? Well, their amazing technology and design is the reason why I absolutely love our Bogs boots. From the insulated lining to the airy cushioning, to the stellar grip on the soles, to the odor protection and the 100% waterproof build – Bogs footwear is ideal for you and your family.
Annabelle and I have the Arcata Stripe boots – which has the softest fluffy lining and easy pull on grips. We can attest to the non-slip soles because our driveway was an ice skating rink for about a week and neither one of us slipped while walking to the car. One downside of good winter boots is that they’re usually clunky and heavy weight – Bogs are neither. Annabelle has no problem running around in her Arcata Stripe boots and I have zero issues chasing after her in the snow.

For Ailey, I was worried about finding winter boots that would not only fit her little feet, but also keep them warm. The faux fur lining, 100% waterproof build, and easy pull on grips of Ailey’s B-Moc Bear Boots are convenient features. However, the shock absorbing rebound technology is key when it comes to a toddler stumbling around. Ailey can’t put on her boots by herself yet, but soon enough she will figure out how to pull on her pair. I know that we won’t be able to keep her indoors if there is snow on the ground and she can put on her own snow boots.

Love the stripe details on your boots! I also live in Connecticut and currently use Hunter boots with a shearling lining, but they don’t really cut it in terms of warmth when we get a big storm. I’ll have to look into these!
