I think it is safe to say that I have been impatiently waiting to use an Elf on the Shelf since they arrived on the scene in 2005. I longingly scrolled through Pinterest pins and stalked Facebook albums of families using their Elf in fun and hilarious ways during the month of December. THEN LAST YEAR I HAD A BABY! And this year she is *almost* one year old! So she thinks elves are funny and likes to listen to stories… so I read her “Elf on a Shelf” and told her there was a new sheriff in town.
And even if she doesn’t realize he is watching her behavior for Santa Clause, I am going to have a great time moving him around the house and surprising her Daddy (and the cat).
Do you use an Elf on the Shelf with your children?

This is our first year with an Elf. Ella decided to name her Sprinkles.

I’m the same. I can’t wait to use them. Rhys will only be 6 months at Christmas, so I think I’ll wait until next year.
