There is nothing more magical than a child’s first snow. Today I’m sharing the story behind Annabelle’s first snow.
Yesterday it snowed again for a few hours here in Georgia. My little family was home, so we were able to take Annabelle out in it for the first time. Technically, Annabelle experienced snow for the first time last year when she was only a month old. She didn’t think much of it then.
She does now. She definitely understood something big, white, and fluffy was falling from the sky…and it wasn’t rain!
The Magic of a Child’s First Snow
The curiosity and joy we saw spread across our daughter’s face as she watched the snow fall from the sky was magical.
I wish that we had videotaped it, so we could show her someday. These little moments – her first experiences – cannot be repeated and I know as she gets older, her reactions will change.
Watching the Snow Fall
We didn’t get enough snow to play in, but that’s okay. There is nothing more precious than being able to see the look of happiness and amazement on our daughter’s face. Her joy was priceless. Here’s to more snow in our future…
