Enjoy my latest installment of Random Things: December 2023. From random things on my mind to what I’m reading or watching, here is a peak at my December.
8 Random Things on My Mind – December 2023
- We finally finished celebrating our December babies (Arbor’s party was postponed due to the stomach bug). I thought I’d feel relieved my hosting duties were over – but instead I’m sad. Annabelle’s Taylor Swift themed event and Arbor’s Garbage Day gathering were so cute and fun!
- Not every Christmas song is a classic – these are our most hated holiday songs.
- The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants was mind-boggling (1 pair fits everyone?) – but it was a cute movie. HOW has the cast has not changed one bit in 20 years?!
- Apparently 7-9 is the recommended number of hours one should sleep at night. I don’t thin that’s possible.
- I KNEW IT – science proves ‘clutter’ releases the stress hormone in our brain.
- There is a limit on how much lemon water I should drink? I did not know this!
- What do you eat Christmas morning? I always make a quiche, but maybe I’ll try a casserole too this year.
- Obsessed with this brand is an understatement.
In My Shopping Cart – December 2023
On My Radar – December 2023
- Must watch: “My Life with the Walter Boys.” I binged the series and am now impatiently awaiting a renewal announcement. I love the storyline even though the love triangle is a little similar to “The Summer I Turned Pretty.”
- Kate McKinnon on SNL was an early Christmas gift – especially her and Billie Eilish (who couldn’t stop laughing)
- LOVING this new wine brand – esp the Pinot Noir
- All of these: 50 Best Funny Christmas Movies
- A great gift idea for someone who is always cold at night (not me!)
- Music is magic and it has the power to shift anyone’s negative thinking (including children)
- Not the most festive holiday meal but I want to make this soon!
- I’m happy they found out this is causing horrible morning sickness for pregnant women – but can they now find a treatment that works?
- Moonbreathing will be tried next time I can’t fall back to sleep in the middle of the night.
