Little T told me this morning he didn’t want to put on his sock because it was “funky”… it looked like a perfectly normal sock to me, but I didn’t want to argue about their “un-funkiness,” so he traded socks with his brother…who proceeded to sing, “Now it’s time to get funky, funky funky” as he put the “funky” socks on. Now I have the “Cha Cha Slide” stuck in my head.
Are you gonna get funky on this funky Friday?
My sister and I are getting funky in this picture from my wedding…
Last night my sister did something that made my heart get all warm and ooey gooey: She finally used the cookbook I gave her for Christmas to make dinner for her boyfriend! She called me yesterday to ask a few questions about the ingredients AND to consult with me on ways to make the recipe better than it already was (you’re thinking like a real Chef sissy!).
She even sent me a picture of her finished product last night and I might have got a little tear-y eyed.
Sorry for the blurriness… she took it on her phone. This delicious dish is a Chicken Taco Casserole – with additions of jalapenos, black olives, lettuce, and mexican cheese. I am SO proud of my sissy – following in the footsteps of her big sissy the aspiring Queen Kitchen Wife.
Speaking of some more funkiness… look at the banging Meaty Cheesy Dip I made for Mr. Bear last night. We were watching March Madness, he was drinking some beers, and I felt that we needed some “bar food.” I used my awesome internet researching skills to find out how Mexican restaurants make their Queso Dip (homemade double boiler you saved my life) and then whipped up my own version of a Meaty Cheesy Dip. I couldn’t eat it because of the meat, but I did sample some before I put it in. OMG so effin good. Mr. Bear said it was better than any cheese dip he has ever had. I wish I had a trophy to solidify my success.
Okay it looks like of gross because the taco sauce moved to the outside of the bowl. And it isn’t in a pretty serving dish. Plus I took the picture on my phone. Does anyone want to buy me that sexy Nikon everyone and their sister has so I can take better pictures of my kitchen creations?
So did you all see the VOLS win last night… yayyyy UT!! I am still ticked off that Uconn isn’t in the tournament but… there is nothing that I can do about it. I am not a basketball player… or on their team. Nor am I a dude.
This weekend we will be watching the NCAA Tournament games (loves me some March Madness) and …. MOVING.
Yes I said it… We are moving. Again.
Do you want to know where???
Well just down the hall of course… to an apartment that does not have loud obnoxious people living below us. Our new place is going to be bigger and better and actually have room for our kitchen table. And a gorgeous light fixture will hang above it. And our bedroom has a pretty window. And a bigger deck that overlooks our reserved parking spot & garage. And a utility room!
I promise when we are settled in (prob not til next wknd) I will take lots of pictures.
What are you doing this weekend?

In L.O.V.E. with your blog – it’s too cute and I cannot wait to try some of your recipes! They look absolutely delish! In fact, I’m probably gonna attempt the cheese dip Monday night! My handsome piece of arm candy (who happens to be the love of my life) and I are going camping this weekend, we need a break! And coincidentally he’s moving, too, so we’ll be spending next week/weekend doing that. 🙂

Food looks yummy! Yay for moving to a bigger, better space. Yay for the UT win. Fred will be consumed with the game tomorrow. Have a great weekend! We’re going to Ole Miss tonight for the Memphis game!

Have fun moving! Hopefully it’s easy just moving everything down the hall!

I want to eat ALL of that food for starters.
Secondly – no, my dear, I’m not getting funky this weekend 😉 lol
And Thirdly – you two are crazy with the moving!! I totally get it though. It’s too much to have to listen to loud, obnoxious neighbors… I feel you!!
Have a great weekend 🙂 xo

Moving? oh my goodness! Well, it sounds like it’s for the better, but I just HATE moving. I end up throwing everything in black trash bags and dragging them to the car.
Hopefully the move goes well!
I’m stuck to the tv AND a laptop watching games. Yes, I’m that bad!
Have a great weekend!

Ha, I love this line: “I didn’t want to argue about their “un-funkiness”. Hope you had a seamless move and that your new neighbors are great!

Please let me kbow if you have any subgestions or tips for
