Today I am dedicating my post to a little All About Me and linking up with Mrs. Monologues for her event:
Hi, I am Mrs. Bear, welcome to my blog, Think Happy Thoughts! If you are wondering where I came up with that title, you can read about it here. I bet most of my readers don’t even know why I chose that title!!! I’ll give you a hint… it has a little to do with my husband’s personality.
Mr. Bear is from the South – Tennessee to be exact. We met on a cruise! Read about it here.
So, hm, what can I tell you. I started my blog when I got engaged in August 2008.
There I am…looking all blonde and happy and engaged. Mr. Bear proposed in Cape Cod. You can read about it here if you would like.
I am no longer a blonde. I am now my natural brownish reddish sort of natural blonde highlighted self.
Mr. Bear really does love me. He just gets irritated with my enthusiasm with life sometimes.
And my obsession with taking pictures.
I like taking professional pictures…of us. We took engagement pictures, wedding pictures, day after pictures, and anniversary pictures – all with my very close friend Susan of Susan C Photography. If I had my way, we would have taken pictures for every holiday and every anniversary, but 1. Susan lives in Texas and 2. Mr. Bear hates (pretends he doesn’t like taking pictures) it.
Okay, enough of that.
Here is some more personal information about me… I live in Maryland… I don’t very much like it, but I am here because of work. That work being…TEACHING! I am a first grade teacher and well, it is a job that surely kicks my butt every day. I teach in the inner city and my students are a handful.
There they are…looking oh so cute with the white light glasses my Dad gave them during his lesson (ooo my dad is a teacher and he comes once a year to teach them about light and the solar system!)
My background: I am from Connecticut – I miss it every day. I have a sister, an adopted sister, brother, sister in law and 2 nephews. Oh and cousins and aunts and uncles. And my in-laws – I have a great relationship with my in-laws! My families are amazing and the coolest families ever. I write about them a lot.
I also love cooking…pizzas mostly. If you were my friend on Twitter, or Instagram, you will see that I post lots of pictures of what I cook. I also like to post pictures of what I eat. I have stomach issues, so thankfully all that I put into my body does not stay there and I do not weigh 798329874lbs like I should.
And last but not least… I cannot forget…my furbaby.
That, my new friends, is Mcmuffin. Mr. Bear and I rescued him from the streets of Baltimore City. He and his sisters were found running in and out of traffic and was put into foster care. Thankfully, we ran into his foster mom at an adoption agency and he became out little furbaby back in February. He is the best thing that has happened in our lives this year!
He is quite the character…
And gets into all the …wrong places…
And knows how to drive….
And lay around like a bum…
But he is our baby and we loves hims.
