Want to know the best way to end the summer season? Have a goodbye to summer sunset wine picnic!
Every year I put “watch a sunset” on my summer bucket list – but it is rare that I actually sit down to enjoy the entire beautiful event. My family and I love to spend the golden hour on the beach in Cape Cod every summer. As we all say goodbye to summer this week, I’m reminiscing some moments from a magical sunset on Cape Cod beach.
How to Have a Goodbye to Summer Wine Picnic
- Pack a picnic basket filled with snacks and your favorite wine.
- Bring a cozy blanket and a portable speaker.
- Round up the people you love.
- Pick a sunset location.
Where do you like to watch summer sunsets?
If you’re looking for the best places to watch the sunset in the country, it isn’t hard to locate a spot. I can promise if you find any coastline or hillside on a clear evening you’ll be amazed at the beauty to unfold before you.
We love the sunsets in Cape Cod on Cooks Brook Beach especially during low tide. The horizon seems to never end and the sun melts right into the ocean. Other incredible sunsets I’ve experienced include beachside in Maui, HI and Destin, FL, mountainside in Norway, and from the top of my car hillside right at an orchard in my hometown.
A farewell to summer sunsets isn’t complete without WINE, my favorite adult beverage.
If you haven’t said goodbye to summer yet, there are still a few days left. The last day of summer is September 22nd, so you have time to find yourself the perfect place to watch the sunset with a nice glass of Butter. Make it memorable by reminiscing about the fun you had the last few months in the sun. Life passes us by too quickly to not stop and watch the sunset!
Nothing like wine and a sunset on the beach!
