Curly hair can be both a blessing and a nuisance. It’s always nice to be able to hop out of the shower, use a little curl creme, and be on your way for the day… during the winter of course. In the summer, I need a cocktail of products to tame the frizz.
The bonus of having curly hair is that I can always straighten it. However, when I want to get rid of the curls, it is quite the process. Shampoo, condition, pre-treat with heat protector, air dry a bit, blow dry smooth, then finally straighten. I have used my fair share of flat irons – salon professional, random brands from Marshall’s, cheapies from Walmart – you name it, I’ve tried it. SO, imagine how excited I was to recently be contacted by Misikko Marketing to review a brand new HANA Pro 1″ Flat Iron. The package I received was incredible – not only did I get the Hana Pro 1″ Flat Iron, but also a bunch of goodies: hairbrush, nail files, heat mat, 2 different travel cases, etc. Everything was wrapped in fun little pouches and smelled delicious due to a pack of scented rosettes. Great marketing!
I was very impressed with the quality and features of the Hana Flat Iron. It has adjustable temperature settings (so I don’t fry the baby hairs around my face), curved plate edges so I can style my hair straight, wavy, or curled, and it can be used on damp hair!
I have been flat ironing my hair in less time now than it took me before using my Hana Salon Flat Iron. It is so easy to use – I separate my hair to do the bottom, middle, and top layers and straighten each section. I’ve also been using it as a curling iron when I want to give my locks a little bit of a wave. I love the leather travel case it came with because it has a separate compartment for the cord so it is never tangled when I take it out of my bag! Here are some photos of my hair after I used the flat iron – all the curls were made with the iron itself!

I have crazy curly hair and absolutely love it. But when I need a trim, it gets straightened. It usually takes about 90 minutes to 2 hours. Which sucks!
Amazing!! I have yet to find a straightener that keeps my hair straight for long. It’s super frustrating!
