I know I never came back to blogland this weekend – and I apologize… but the Bears went to visit our parents-whose-last-name-begins-with-H on Saturday and yesterday I ran errands, pre-made lasagna for tonight, cooked mini lasagna for my friend Natalie and I, and then took care of Mr. Bear. He was SO sick last night – fever, chills, throwing up, achy, etc. We have no idea what is wrong with him, but he woke up this morning with a really bad tummy ache and aches all over his body! I hope he feel better when I get home so I can bake the lasagna I prepared for him!
I really need to make up a name for our 3 sets of parents and 6 families – Mr. Bear’s parents are divorced &remarried and we are close to all four families – any suggestions on how to distinguish each family without giving away their names or going into some obnoxious explanation?
Yesterday I ran over to Old Navy b/c they are having an awesome sale this week on their version of Uggs – Adoraboots!
Originally $29.50 – now only $15 in stores!
Don’t get me wrong – I LOVE my Uggs – I might have 4 pairs….and if you have seen my wedding shoes you know that I spent 90% of my evening in my Ugg slips. HOWEVER, now that we are moving to a land where it snows and sleets and gets slushy (aka THE NORTHEAST) I needed to get some footwear that can get yucky. In comes the Adoraboots which I bought for $11 – the store sold out of their boots in ONE day and handed out 25% coupons to make up for it. I was lucky to get a coupon even though I had snatched up a pair of boots already, yah!
I have so much to do at work today and forgot my laptop, so you will have to wait a little longer for the bridal/groom’s party pictures! PLUS, I heard from a little bird that we may have our slideshow sometime this week =0)
I have my UGGs on today 🙂 Waking up to 4″ of snow was fun!! Not really. I got the UGG slippers for my bday…LOVE them!
No suggestions on the fam names. I just chose to use our real names.
Can’t wait to see the slide show.
Just do an acronym, Mr Bear’s Mom – MBM, Mr Bear’s Dad – MBD, and then your parents? Or assign them names, like Koala, Brown, Black, and whatever other types of bears are out there? It’d be cute and going with the theme? 🙂
I love my UGG slippers too. I may have to make a trip to Old Navy now after reading your posting. Thanks for your sweet comment on my wedding photos! You inspired me to post mine.
I want a pair of Uggs really badly, and was thinking of investing and getting me a pair for Christmas. You know, a present for myself! And seeing as it is 12 stinkin’ degrees here today I think I am in need.
Four pairs lady?! lol Crack me up…
Looking forward to the pics… happy monday 🙁
Mondays make me want to punch Christmas carolers!
I have one pair of real Uggs and one pair of wanna be Uggs. Those are super cute! What a great deal you got!
I’m totally sitting here at work with my Uggs on. People continue to walk by and comment (I’m sure it doesn’t look too professional) but my feet are cold and I’m just sitting at my desk. Get over it people! :o)
You are the cutest. Don’t wear uggs. I am anti.
i was so excited after reading this post… i have to make a run to old navy today!!! that is an amazing deal.. i do hope our local old navy is havingg a similar deal!! after all, i do need another pair of boots! because the many (no number!) i already have, certainly isnt enough! haha 😉
as for the parent’s names.. .umm you can number them as couples and have a little lingo box on your sidbar to serve as a legend for new readers!! lol. 🙂
UGH, that nasty bug really seems to be making the rounds!
I hope Mr Bear feels better soon!!!
Since our parents live in different states we distingush by with states. Its actually something the parents came up with but it makes the transition to writing mom/dad for my in-laws a lot easier. Ex. my parents are from NY so they are NY mom and dad. In emails and cards both sets sign the cards that way, its cute. Just a thought that worked for us!
