We’re back with a weekend recap. Our Ohio Family Weekend was such a wonderful time.
It has been two years since we’ve been out to visit Brandon’s family in Ohio and I couldn’t believe how much the kids have grown up. They were over the moon about Annabelle and Ailey, so much that I barely saw Annabelle as she was playing with her cousins nonstop.
The oldest girls were in our wedding in 2009 as flower girls and the youngest was just a baby. It is so crazy that they are now in high school! I tried to learn all the parenting advice possible from Brandon’s cousins because the children are so well behaved.

Ohio Family Weekend Details
We all went swimming, played in a Princess Bounce House ordered especially with Annabelle in mind – how awesome was that?!. We ate and ate delicious food prepared by Brandon’s Aunt. We also visited the famous carousel in Mansfield.
Richland Carrousel Park opened in 1991 as the first new, hand-carved carrousel to be built and operated in the United States since the 1930’s. We had so much fun riding around and around with the girls. 
The Trip Home
All my bragging about my amazing traveling kiddies bit me in the butt yesterday at the Cleveland airport. Annabelle threw a famous tantrum that I’m sure everyone was talking about as we walked away. I literally carried her around the waist through the security gate while she hung onto the sides and the agent yelled, “SHE CAN’T TOUCH THE WALLS!”
Then on the flight itself … it was filled with yells from Ailey (she had gas), sassy side eyes from Annabelle, and a whole lotta turbulence. So much turbulence that we were bouncing out of our seats and I started praying under my breath. I’ve flown well over a hundred times in the last 12 years and it was the worst I’ve ever experienced. Thankfully no one was injured and the girls had no clue what was happening.
We are home at my parents in Connecticut, getting things ready for my sister’s wedding shower and other family events.
