Every weekend we homegate to get ready for the Big Game in the Houston household. Snacks, music, beverages – we do it all! If you’ve ever tailgated at your house then you know how messy it can be both pre-game and post-game. Today I’m sharing four must haves for Homegate Clean Up and any type of Big Game Mess.
With the majority of sports’ fans watching games from the comfort of their living room couch, homegating is on the rise. My favorite part of any game day is the food, so I spend most of the time in the kitchen (instead of in front of the t.v.). When I’m not snacking, I’m cleaning up the homegate mess. I always make sure to order these cleaning products online from our local Stop & Shop beforehand.
4 Homegate Clean Up Must Haves
- To clean up an ultimate Homegate cooking mess: Dawn Soap
- To refresh the kitchen after all different cooking smells: Febreeze
- To remove any gameday stains: Tide
- To wipe away tears (Game Day Loss): Puffs

Speaking for one of the biggest football fans I know, my husband will say one of the things he misses most about sports is being able to go to a game in person. There is nothing like the tastes, smells and sounds of the stadium! P&G has partnered with Stop & Shop, former New England Patriot Troy Brown and local chef Tiffani Faison to help enhance fans “homegating” experiences through “pre-game prep, post-game clean up and the fun during the game.

Don’t forget to whip up a Homegate appetizer like Tiffani’s French Onion Dip or Grilled Tandoori Chicken Drums. Then use a little Febreeze to refresh the kitchen.
