Mr. Bear’s birthday was at the end of last month – and being the awesome wife that I am I ordered him something that wasn’t going to arrive until two weeks after the big day (hehehe). My hubs is a big fan of drinking alcohol on the rocks (either scotch or whiskey – both equally gaggy). For his birthday I thought I would get him a super duper awesome drinking glass since he uses the same Tennessee one every time he pours himself a stuff one (for the record, we have GORGEOUS Lenox crystal tumblers we received as a wedding gift, but they are currently broken in their box and awaiting to be returned).
Anyways, I turned to my fav trustworthy Etsy to find a seller that would make me somethin’ gorgeous and manly for the birthday boy. I wanted a short stocky drinking glass etched with Mr. Bear’s initials and a picture of a BOAT. Yes a boat. No we don’t like to sail – nor do we have a boat – but Mr. Bear thought it would be funny to tell everyone that I was buying him a boat for his birthday (I still don’t get the joke) and so I did just that. I got him a boat on his drinking glass.

Jackglass’s Etsy shop made me two beautious double sided glasses that Mr. Bear LOVES. Ladies … if you need etched glasses, you must check out Jackglass. I think that his glasses would be perfect as wedding gifts or birthday gifts or really a gift for any occasion. They have mustache glasses, shot glasses, etched flasks…just go look! I would have used this seller for our groomsman’s etched pilsner glasses we had made because the product quality and price was much better than what we purchased.

Favorites: Alex and Kent
The guys are definitely the most talented this season… and Alex and Kent put on the best performances!
Not so much: Cristina and Melinda
Cristina was awkward and so un-sexy. I did not agree with the judges at all – Mark was incredible and I would’ve rather seen another girl dancing with him for Sonja’s routine.
Melinda irritates me. She is cocky and I was glad that she didn’t do well – I know it’s mean but she is good at tapping and that’s about it. Plus she was with PASHA – she should have been swooning over him like Kent swooned over Anya. Sheesh.
Best dance: Alex and Allison “Hallelujah” by Sonja
I didn’t cry, but I did have goosebumps. Alex proved to be the most emotional dancer last night. I loved his performance and thought that he and Allison were absolutely incredibly.
However, I do not agree with the judges that this number was the bestest dance ever on SYTYCD. T
ravis & Heidi’s routine by Mia Michaels is my most favorite of all time.
Oh and Allison and Ivan’s routine to “Why” by Annie Lennox still gives me goosebumps.
Most embarrassing moment: Kent dancing with Anya
I wasn’t really embarrassed…I just couldn’t stop giggling. And then Adam made a reference to Kent looking like a lost little kid at the zoo trying to play with a lion in its cage… hehehehe.
Biggest disappointment: Lauren
Seriously girl – don’t you know how to make a sexy face? Next time stop smiling at the audience like a jamook and look at your partner! I love you – I really do – but if you don’t start dancing more like a real dancer and less like a 12 year old at a dance competition…I just won’t vote for you.

I think that we should meet up – in addition to you loving all the food we had at our anniversary dinner, my bubs loves scotch or whiskey on the rocks in short nubby glasses like Mr. Bears! They are adorable and a manly way to do monograms, two thumbs up!!
I agree about Lauren…she just couldn’t get that smile off of her face! I know it’s exciting to be up on stage, but she was supposed to be sexy during that dance routine.
Haha, I laughed the whole time during the judging about Kent. He’s just so innocent! We think he looks like Adam the judge. Still love him though!
I didn’t get goose bumps from Alex’s number though..something was missing for me. I love the Heidi and Travis number too! Loved the breast cancer and addictions one too.

onto sytycd – still in my dvr, the mister and i watched couples retreat last night. i WILL be watching tonight, you can bet your bottom dollar.
I am still not watching SYTYCD 🙁 Don’t hate me!! lol
But those glasses are PERFECTION!! I am not sure about the boat thing either but look at you good wifey for getting the boat on the glass anyway!

I agree Alex’s dance was awesome, but you are right…it was NOT the best dance ever on SYTYCD. There are a couple of dances that come to mind that I liked better.

Melinda bugs me too! Too cocky. I love Robert! I thought Alex and Allison’s goosebump performance was a snooze fest! So boring. Definitely not one of the most memorable performances ever. And I don’t love Kent. I feel like his hometown boy persona is just an act.
It sounds like you and I had pretty similar opinions of the show. Lauren super bummed me out! And I totally agree that, although amazing, Alex’s routine was NOT the best on the show ever! PLEASE!

SYTYCD was pretty good last night and I will have to say that I agree with you 100%. I think Melinda has ulterior motives and wants to further her acting career. Lauren is beyond amazing and is my favorite she just needs to tone down the cutesy faces.
