Our Easter weekend couldn’t have been any more perfect. My inlaws drove in from Tennessee and we spent our time together laughing at Annabelle’s antics, eating delicious food, and celebrating a beautiful holiday. Saturday morning I did slip out for a few hours to go to Flywheel and the prenatal chiropractor – but it was nice knowing that Brandon and Annabelle were hanging out with family, not alone.
Annabelle had a blast with her Grandpa Dan and Nana. They brought her a ginormous basket (laundry size) of Easter goodies – so big she still has not gone through it all! It was filled to the brim with everything from a My Little Pony bubble machine to pretty gold sandals to a bunny jelly bean machine that I am confiscating for my desk at school. We visited the Church where Annabelle will be attending preschool in the Fall for Easter services on Sunday. Annabelle LOVED the live music and checking out all the other kids in the room. What she did not like was 1. it was almost nap time 2. she wanted to eat ALL the M&Ms at once I brought to bribe her with 3. I forgot her pony’s hairbrush. She made sure she gave us the business when we got home.
We dyed Easter eggs on Sunday morning for the first time as the Easter Bunny had brought her a dye kit. I will admit – the kit was terrible and our eggs were not the colors we hoped for (even after sitting in the dye for what seemed like an hour). Annabelle was AMAZED when the eggs went in white and came out pink or green. Sunday evening she asked to dye eggs again and I felt bad explaining we wouldn’t do it again until next year.
Cutie patootie.
Seriously the biggest ham around. I swear I didn’t tell her to pose like this! Lately she asks to say, “Cheese!” and wants me to take her picture. I love her enthusiasm and the joy she exudes from her tiny little body in her pose. Well except for those angry eyes she was giving us after church… there was no joy there.
I have to brag about my Easter Supper menu for just a minute. I made EVERYTHING I pinned and each dish was a success. We ate so much on Sunday afternoon that both Brandon and I didn’t feel like eating until again until Monday morning. We had a lot of food leftover that I am still enjoying today However – I am super upset that my photography skills suck because my pictures could never do any justice. The food was delicious and incredible.
I hope everyone had a beautiful Easter weekend with their loved ones. There are only four days left of this school week until Spring Break and I cannot wait for some free time!
